Enrollment happens in two layers. First, the student is enrolled in an academic period. Then the student is enrolled in individual classes for that period.

Before you enroll a student

Confirm these records exist:
  • An active academic period.
  • The student’s profile.
  • The student’s program, curriculum, academic level, and section, when your school uses them.
  • Classes in the same academic period.
  • Available seats or approval to override capacity.

Enrollment records

RecordWhat it means
Period enrollmentThe student is active in a specific academic period.
Course enrollmentThe student is placed in one class.
Section rosterThe student belongs to a section for the period.

Add a student to a class

1

Open the student

Go to Students, open the student record, and check the Enrollments tab.
2

Confirm period enrollment

Create or select the active enrollment for the current academic period.
3

Add the class

Choose a class in the same period. Review capacity, reservation, and schedule warnings before confirming.
4

Verify the roster

Open the class roster and confirm the student appears with the correct status.

Swap or drop a class

Use swap when moving a student from one class to another. Edurie keeps the original class until the new class passes validation. Use drop when the student should leave a class. Dropping keeps an audit record; it does not erase the student’s enrollment history.

Statuses

StatusMeaning
EnrolledThe student is actively attending the class.
DroppedThe student left the class after enrolling.
PassedThe class is complete with a passing result.

Capacity and schedule overrides require a reason and should be used sparingly. They affect room planning, teacher load, billing, and reporting.
