Edurie uses roles and permissions to decide what each account can see and do. Your school assigns roles to your account. Roles contain permissions, and permissions unlock pages, buttons, filters, and workflow actions.

What this means for you

You usually see your own profile, classes, grades, applications, announcements, events, and library information. If your school links you to another student, you may see that student’s records too.

Why a page or button may be missing

  • Your role does not include the needed permission.
  • The record is outside your school, class, program, section, or approval step.
  • The workflow is locked, finalized, archived, or waiting for another user.
  • Your school has not configured that module yet.
  • You are in the personal workspace but need the school admin workspace, or the other way around.
Use the command palette search. If a page does not appear there, your account probably does not have access to that destination.

Common access patterns

Access typeWhat it usually controls
List accessSee a module in navigation and open its list page.
View accessOpen a detail page or read a record.
Create accessAdd a new record or start a workflow.
Update accessEdit an existing record.
Delete accessDelete or remove a record where the workflow allows it.
Review accessApprove, reject, or return approval-based workflows.
Submit accessSend a draft or prepared item for review.
Import accessUpload records in bulk, such as users.
Integration accessConfigure providers, review sync, or resolve conflicts.
Full module accessUse all available actions within that module.
Exact role names can differ by school. Ask a school admin to check the role assigned to your account when you need access changed.

Admin navigation permissions

School admin navigation is permission-gated. These are the access areas that decide whether a page appears.
