# Directory

> Manage user accounts, staff records, groups, roles, buildings, rooms, and resources.

Use Directory to keep people and school resources accurate before they are used in
classes, approvals, schedules, and integrations.

## People records

| Record   | Use it for                                                           |
| -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| User     | A sign-in account. One person should have one account.               |
| Employee | Staff profile, employee number, designation, and employment details. |
| Student  | Student profile, student number, academic records, and enrollments.  |
| Group    | A collection of people used for organization or sync.                |
| Role     | A bundle of access rights assigned to users.                         |

## Facilities and resources

Add buildings, floors, rooms, and resources before creating class schedules.
Schedules can reference these resources so conflicts are easier to catch.

## Recommended workflow
